Justin Bieber may have an unlimited number of hits, especially on his new album, Purpose, but real Beliebers will never get tired the throwbacks. Did you know that Justin's song, Boyfriend, could have been COMPLETELY different?
Mike Posner, the cowriter of Boyfriend, sat down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, and opened up about what really went down with the single.
"The story starts on a dark Los Angeles night," Mike started. "I was hanging out with my friend Blackbear, and he was playing guitar, and I started singing this thing over it. Originally we had these lyrics that went, 'Inside of your bedroom, no one has to know. Inside of your bedroom, That's where we should go."
I would have never expected that.. then Mike went on to explain that he "never really liked those lyrics, and so I sat in the studio for hours... and then this statement popped into my head: 'If I was your boyfriend.'"
Super cool! But like, imagine if Boyfriend had been written that way instead.. crazy.
