Colton Haynes was honored with the Visibility Award by the Human Rights Campaign, and he broke down in tears during his acceptance speech. He was awarded for all the work he has done for and with the LGBTQ community, and the Arrow actor spoke out about his experiences.
Colton spoke while crying saying: “Wow! I’ve experienced a lot of wow moments in my life, but tonight may top them all. Thank you for letting me feel your love. I hope you feel all of mine. It's taken me a long time to get here so I hope you feel that.”
This is the first time Colton has spoken openly about being gay, since coming out publicly earlier this year. He got emotional as soon as he stepped on stage.
The organization wrote on YouTube, "HRC was honored to present Colton Haynes with our Visibility Award in Seattle this past weekend. His speech was truly touching and there wasn't a dry eye in the house! Coming out matters - especially for the countless LGBTQ kids who watch Colton's shows."
