It's obvious that Justin Bieber has had such incredible success from his Purpose album, especially with his single "Sorry." But, Sean Paul isn't too happy about Justin not understanding the genre that inspired his song. Sean Paul became one of the most popular Dancehall artists in the early 2000's, But the Jamaican artist does not approve of pop artists borrowing his country's sound without proper credit. Sorry was one of the most successful songs on Justin's album, and it's caribbean sounds were an obsession for most of us, it was disregarded that Sean Paul was well-known for the said sound in the past years for his music. It's happened before where genres are appropriated by people who didn't create it, and bring it to a new level of fame, leaving the originators forgotten. It's good that the genre is being well-known, but it's SO important to know where it came from.
